John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
God So Loved The World
Does God love me? The answer is in the Bible, God’s Word to us:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” – Jeremiah 31:3
God loves you, and He loves you with a love beyond understanding, because there is no human love comparable to divine love. He wants to forgive you. He wants to have a relationship with you.
And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. – 1 John 4:16
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
It doesn’t make any difference how far you try to run from God. He loves you. His eye is on you. He sees you. God loves you, and the Bible says that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, from heaven to this earth for you. Christ came to this earth to pay for your sins on a cross. God has a plan for your life.
God created you in His image, and you are important to God.
Indeed, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear. You are more valuable than many sparrows. – Luke 12:7
God knows who you are. He knows your name and everything about you. He cares for you.
That He Gave His Only Son
Who is Jesus? What does His life, death and resurrection mean for me?
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. – John 14:6
Many go through life unfulfilled, unfocused, searching—a blank canvas waiting for a picture of purpose to be painted on us. What does it all mean? And what does Jesus have to do with it?
That Whoever Believes In Him
Can God really change my life?
Yes, but we must realize our need for Him. We have all sinned and rebelled against God.
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23
There is consequences to sin. It results in death and separation from God that will last for eternity. The good news is we have a free gift from God, His only Son Jesus, who was given to pay the penalty for us. He paid it once and for all when He died on the cross. He did it that we might have life and relationship with God.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23
No matter who you are or how you’ve lived your life, God will receive you into His family. He will change you and make you complete. Trust Him and experience His mercy for yourself.
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me? – Jeremiah 32:27
God is holy. He is powerful. And He can change your life.
Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me. – Revelation 3:20
Do you hear God’s voice today?
Should Not Perish
Your new life can start now. So what do you have to do? What do you have to do to go to heaven?
God isn’t waiting to judge you. God isn’t waiting to condemn you. He’s waiting to receive you with mercy, with love, with open arms, and forgive all your sins. Will you come to Him? Will you turn from your sin and promise to live for Him? He can transform your life—and you can look forward to eternity with Him in heaven.
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, – Romans 10:9
There is nothing you can do to earn God’s forgiveness; it is possible only by His grace when you have faith in Him. God is a loving God and wants to forgive you. He wants to welcome you into His family.
Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of God, to those who believed in His name – John 1:12
You can be a child of God today.
Do you recognize you are a sinner in need of a saviour? Do you believe in what Jesus has done for you—dying on a cross to make a way for you to live?
Have Everlasting Life
God knows who you are, He loves you, and He wants you to know and love Him.
How do you do that?
You must first admit that, like everyone else, you are a sinner. Being sinners means that we are imperfect and do wrong; we fall short of God’s perfect standard. It also means we are separated from Him and deserve His judgement.
But He loves us! God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. He died for your sins. He was punished so you don’t have to be. Not only that; death did not defeat Him. After three days, Jesus rose from the dead, alive again!
The only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him is to trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for you and repent—turn from your sins. We urge you to take this step of faith today. To do that, simply talk to God—this is called praying—and tell Him you believe in His Son. Here is a suggested prayer.
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I know I have rebelled and walked in disobedience to you. I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I need you and accept your free gift. Come and live in me and fill every part of my life. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Saviour. Guide my life and help me to do your will. Thank-you for loving me, thank-you for forgiving me, thank-you for accepting me. In Jesus name, Amen.”
